At this point, Out of Frame, has been running on Amazon Prime for seven months with no paid advertisements. Based on word of mouth and social media promotion the thriller title has fared very well in the States. We’d love to say the UK too but viewership is light there. Maybe the Britts scoff because they feel Out of Frame’s inspiration Peeping Tom 1960 did it better, lol.
We really wanted to get Out of Frame in the Japanese and German markets but translated captions are required. Although this is a future endeavor, we have no immediate plans to implement. Despite this small hiccup, we are proud to say that Omnestream will not offer Out of Frame on any other media platform. Amazon Prime has worked very well for our introductory film. So if you would like to see it, follow the link here. As always, Amazon Prime members get to watch the film for free.
Sidenote to all filmmakers, we highly recommend choosing Amazon as the place to offer your film to the public. Prime Video Direct has a great interface and fairly easy to set up. Several things to take into consideration, captions are required and publishing a film can take up to 5 days. Also, the pay rate for Amazon garners very little unless the watch time is astronomical, so strive for rentals and purchases.
